How to make a Volcano!

Kids, before you try this, be sure to get your parents permission and their supervision

 it is very important!

What you will need:   

                                        ¼ cup of Baking Soda

10 drops of food coloring (we like to use red)

                                        2 paper cups

                                        ¼ cup of White Vinegar

1 paper plate or several large pieces of newspaper

Here’s how you do it:                                                   

1.                 Do this project on a paper plate or some newspaper so you don’t make a mess.

2.                In one paper cup put ¼ cup of baking soda.

3.                 Add 10 drops of food coloring to the baking soda.

4.                 Make a dime size hole in the second paper cup and put it upside down on top of the first cup.

5.                 Pour ¼ cup white vinegar through the hole and listen to the liquid bubbling inside.

6.                 STAND BACK – the top is going to blow!
